Educators Rising Membership Guide
This guide outlines the full process for Teacher Leaders to set up and manage memberships for both themselves and their students.
Student membership accounts must be created by area registration Pay dues by December 1 to TAFE State Office
Step 1: Renew Teacher Leader Membership on Educators Rising Website
Teacher Leaders must renew their Educators Rising account each year.
- Go to: members.pdkintl.org
- Log in to your account:
- Click “Already have an account?”
- Use password reset if needed
- Click on “Memberships” in the left navigation menu
- Select “Join or Renew – EdRising Middle/High School”
- Review your information and click Save
- Submit your membership and proceed to checkout
Step 2: Confirm Chapter Setup
- Your TAFE chapter name must match your Educators Rising chapter name
- This ensures students affiliate correctly at the national level
Step 3: Collect Student Information
To prevent errors and duplicates:
- Use the Educators Rising Membership Form to gather student data
- This helps ensure:
- No duplicate accounts
- Complete and accurate information
- Easier account creation
Step 4: Create Student Accounts
- Go to: Join Educators Rising
- Use the collected student information to create accounts
Important:
- DO NOT create student accounts on the TAFE website
- All student accounts must be created in the Educators Rising (PDK) system
- Record all student usernames and passwords for your records.
- It's recommended to use students personal email addresses versus school ones. School email addresses often block outside senders.
Step 5: Renew Existing Student Memberships
For returning students:
- Go to the membership portal
- Click “Already have an account?” and log in
- Navigate to Profile and Account
- Click “View Your Membership Options”
- Select Educators Rising Middle/High School Membership
- Review and click Save
- Confirm the membership in your cart
- Click Review and Checkout
- Choose payment method:
- Select “Bill Me” if the school is paying
- Click Submit
Step 6: Generate TAFE Invoice
- After all student accounts are created:
- Submit this invoice for payment through your school
Important:
- ALL payments are made to the TAFE State Office
- DO NOT send money to Educators Rising or PDK for Student Memberships
- Only submit and pay using the TAFE invoice
Important Deadlines
- November 1 → Deadline to affiliate students with Educators Rising
(Required for Area Conferences & Teach Tomorrow Summit)
- December 1 → Deadline to:
- Submit payment
- Ensure all dues are paid to the TAFE State Office
Key Reminders
- Student accounts = created in Educators Rising (PDK portal)
- Payments = made only to TAFE State Office
- Never send money directly to Educators Rising
